2005 BMW 545i

This was my first entry back into BMW land after several years without one.  I always admired this body style E60 sedan all the years I worked on them. These were brand new when I got my start at a BMW Dealership in 2004.  I love the flame tip look headlights, the hard crease body line that runs off the front lamps down the side of the car through the tail lamps.  I picked this vehicle up used car, a departure from all the insurance totaled cars i had been doing.  I thought "it might be easier to sell a clean title car" but as it turned out.  NO ONE, but the most hardcore BMW enthusiast wants a 15 year old BMW.  This car was very clean cosmetically inside and out.  Mechanically it had the plague, oil leaks, coolant leaks, burning oil, transmission shifting issues.  I replaced the valve guide seals, alternator bracket seal, valve cover gaskets, thrust arm bushings, lower control arms, re-built the transmission valvebody, ignition coils and spark pugs.  It was a queens car so the front bumper was wrecked from other cars parking in front of it.  So i installed an M5 style front bumper and side skirts.  Eventually I sold this car for a profit but it took 8 months to sell.
